Three brothers. One Teta.

Adelaide's first hummus bar, run by the Awar family.

Hummus Hustle started the way most good Lebanese ideas do, around a family table. Brothers Roger, Riyan and Kareem Awar grew up on their mum's and Teta's cooking, and in July 2025 they opened Adelaide's first hummus bar to share it, in James Place in the heart of the city.

Everything is made in-house every morning. Hummus stone-ground in four flavours, falafel fried crisp, chicken and beef shawarma spiced the family way, and pita baked warm. Even the brand tells the story: the green is for fresh, the orange is for 1970s Lebanon, and the logo is a flower the brothers found on a Lebanese coffee cup.
